Privacy Policy — VirtuesOS
Effective Date: May 13, 2026 Last Updated: May 13, 2026
Introduction
VirtuesOS is the open-source software that runs on your Virtues Server. It ingests, structures, and serves the data of your life — all on hardware you own. This policy describes what data VirtuesOS handles and the limited circumstances under which any information reaches Virtues, the company.
The Sovereignty Principle
Virtues is built so that your data stays on your hardware:
- No data access: We cannot see your data, your queries, your AI sessions, or your sources.
- No model training: We never use your data to train models.
- No shared tenancy: Your VirtuesOS instance runs on hardware you control, isolated from every other user.
- Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS).
Information We May Receive
The only information that reaches Virtues, the company, is the operational metadata required to support the software:
- Account & licensing data — email, billing details (if applicable), and license keys.
- Diagnostic telemetry — anonymous error reports and version pings, only when you opt in.
- Bridge usage metadata — counts and latencies of API calls brokered by Bridge, never the contents of those calls.
How That Information Is Used
To operate your account, deliver software updates, and improve the platform. We do not sell or transfer this information to third parties beyond essential service providers (billing, error reporting), each bound by equivalent confidentiality terms.
Your Rights
You can export, delete, or transfer your VirtuesOS data at any time. You can disable optional telemetry from VirtuesOS settings. Account deletion removes all operational metadata Virtues holds about you.
